Dynamics of inflammatory factors in aqueous humor during ranibizumab or aflibercept treatment for age-related macular degeneration

Ophthalmic Research Aug 18, 2017

Motohashi R, et al. – The dynamic changes in the aqueous humor levels of inflammatory factors among patients receiving intravitreal ranibizumab injection (IRI) and aflibercept injection (IAI) in patients with exudative age–related macular degeneration (AMD) are assessed in this study. These outcomes propose that the inflammatory factors are involved in the pathogenesis of AMD and also the possibility that the interaction between these inflammatory factors and IRI or IAI is different.
