Narayan SW, et al. – This study analyzed the literature data on discontinuation of preventive medicines in older people with limited life expectancy (LLE). Findings highlighted that it is quite challenging to withdraw preventive medicines at the end of life. The lack of clear deprescribing guidelines for these medicines is highly complicating the decision making regarding the discontinuation of preventive medicines for individuals approaching the end of life.
