Diffusion-weighted imaging vs contrast-enhanced MR imaging for the differentiation of renal oncocytomas and chromophobe renal cell carcinomas
European Radiology Nov 23, 2017
Zhong Y, et al. - The experts undertook this study to compare the performance of diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) with that of contrast-enhanced MRI in differentiating renal oncocytomas from chromophobe renal cell carcinomas (RCCs). Both DWI and contrast-enhanced MRI could differentiate renal oncocytomas from chromophobe RCCs. DWI indicated higher diagnostic value. For distinguishing these 2 tumours, the combination of the 2 parameters could potentially provide better performance.
