Parohan M, et al. - In this systematic review and dose-response meta-analysis of observational studies, researchers assessed the association of dietary acid load with hypertension. Using relevant keywords, they searched online databases for relevant publications up to February 2019. Overall, 14 eligible studies involving 306,183 people and 62,264 cases of hypertension were included. They noted a significant positive link between dietary acid load and hypertension.
