Diagnostic and prognostic roles of circ-SHPRH for solid cancers: A meta-analysis
OncoTargets and Therapy Jun 06, 2019
Li F, et al. - Via this meta-analysis of nine eligible studies, researchers focused on if circ-SHPRH (a novel circular RNA which was down-regulated in various cancer tissues) had a diagnostic and/or prognostic role in solid cancers. They identified studies from PubMed, MEDLINE, Web of Science, Embase, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, and Wanfang database. They found pooled sensitivity, specificity, positive likelihood ratio, negative likelihood ratio, diagnostic odds ratio, and area under the summary receiver operating characteristic curve were 0.79, 0.75, 3.20, 0.28, 11.27, and 0.84, respectively. A significant link of low circ-SHPRH expression with poor overall survival was indicated by pooled hazard ratio. circ-SHPRH was suggested to possibly be a significant diagnostic and prognostic biomarker for various solid cancers.
