Diagnostic accuracy of 14‐3‐3 η protein in rheumatoid arthritis: A meta‐analysis
International Journal of Rheumatic Diseases Sep 14, 2020
Wang D, Cui Y, Lei H, et al. - Researchers analyzed 13 studies from PubMed, EMBASE, and Web of Science , to assess the overall diagnostic performance of 14‐3‐3 η protein (1 of 7 members of the 14‐3‐3 family) in patients suffering from rheumatoid arthritis (RA). The pooled sensitivity and specificity were reported to be 0.73 and 0.88, respectively. The pooled positive/negative likelihood were estimated to be 5.98 and 0.28, respectively. The pooled diagnostic odds ratio was 23.48, and an area under curve of 0.9245 was generated. Overall, the current evidence is suggestive of the moderate accuracy of 14‐3‐3 η protein for the diagnosis of RA.
