Leonhard SE, et al. - In this national survey questionnaire-based study, experts achieved a better understanding of how neurologists in Brazil were currently diagnosing and treating people with Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS), and how this rise in incidence had influenced the management of the disease. In supporting Brazilian neurologist in their management of GBS, expanding the availability of nerve conduction studies and beds in the ICU and rehabilitation centers, and the implementation of (inter)national guidelines, were crucial and were particularly significant in planning for eventual outbreaks.
