Determinants of each domain of the Short Physical Performance Battery in COPD

Bernabeu–Mora R, et al. – The motivation behind this study was to identify health–related, functional, and psychological determinants of each Short Physical Performance Battery (SPPB) test. The results of this study revealed that the three SPPB tests did not provide equivalent information regarding a COPD patientÂs status. The five-repetition sit-to-stand test (5STS) was correlated with health status factors. On the other hand, the 4 m gait speed test (4MGS) was related to psychological factors.
