Dentoalveolar effects produced by different appliances on early treatment of anterior open bite: A randomized clinical trial

Rossato PH, et al. - In this parallel, randomized clinical trial, the researchers compared different appliances for early anterior open bite (AOB) correction. For the purpose of this investigation, a prospective sample of patients with AOB was recruited consecutively. Findings revealed that all of the tested devices promoted dental changes, particularly in the anterior region, and contributed to AOB reduction during the study period. Results of this study suggested that fixed palatal crib showed a greater impact on the positioning of the incisors.
