Cyclorotation during femtosecond laser–assisted cataract surgery measured using iris registration

Journal of Cataract & Refractive Surgery Aug 26, 2017

Hummel CD, et al. – A scrutiny was performed of the ocular cyclorotation of eyes with femtosecond laser–assisted cataract surgery, by means of iris registration. The data exhibited that clinically prominent cyclotorsion possibly affecting astigmatism correction outcomes could occur in patients having cataract extraction, during femtosecond laser–assisted cataract surgery. Iris registration was beneficial in accounting for cyclorotation during this procedure when corneal or intraocular lens–based forms of astigmatic corrections would be used.
