Archives of Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery Dec 07, 2018
Greimel F, et al. - Researchers demonstrated the pain outcome until 4 weeks postoperatively and assessed the factors influencing pain in the postoperative course after total hip arthroplasty. Findings suggested a greater likliness of the increasing pain levels after the first week postoperatively, for 3 days, to be caused by the change to more extensive mobilization and physiotherapy in the rehabilitation unit. They did not find any significant influence or association on the intensity of postoperative pain while evaluating potential predictors except preoperative pain levels.
