Cosmetic cleansing oil absorption by soft contact lenses in dry and wet conditions

Tsukiyama J, et al. – This study entailed the assessment of hydrogel lenses and silicone hydrogel contact lenses (SHCLs) in the soft contact lenses, in both wet and dry conditions. It was illustrated that hydrogel lenses resisted the cosmetic cleansing oil. SHCLs displayed varying degrees of resistance depending on the lens material. Few SHCLs absorbed cosmetic cleansing oil more under dry conditions when compared to the wet conditions.
