The Prostate Apr 22, 2021
Qian S, Zhang S, Xia W, et al. - This study was carried out to assess the relationship between prostatic morphological parameters and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) clinical progression in aging Chinese men. Researchers conducted a retrospective study including a total of 1,038 patients. Transrectal ultrasound was used to assess prostatic morphology. Via specific prostatic measurements, the detailed medical history of all candidates was recorded and analyzed after being classified. The association between variables was calculated by using univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses. There was a significant association between prostatic morphological parameters and BPH clinical progression. The data illustrated that individuals with larger prostatic morphological parameters are more easily prone to clinical progress. According to the findings, reasonable managements should be timely considered for those patients before clinical progression occurs.
