Correlation of IDH1 and B7-H3 expression with prognosis of CRC patients
European Journal of Surgical Oncology May 20, 2018
Wu J, et al. - Researchers sought to determine a novel marker to predict the prognosis of CRC patients and to investigate the relationship between Isocitrate dehydrogenase 1 (IDH1) and B7-H3. IDH1 and B7-H3 expression levels were analyzed in 225 CRC specimens by immunochemistry. To demonstrate the correlation between IDH1 and B7-H3, researchers performed in vitro studies. Findings suggested that IDH1 and B7-H3 cannot be used as independent prognostic factors. However, co-expression of IDH1 and B7-H3 seemed to have a significant correlation with the prognosis of CRC patients and could serve as a combined predictive marker. Thus, in vivo and in vitro investigation prove the correlation between IDH1 and B7-H3.
