Kim HJ, et al. - Analysts executed a study to gauge the impact of coronary artery bypass grafting in patients with severe chronic kidney disease. This study unveiled an association between the on-pump strategy for patients with severe chronic kidney disease and a significantly higher risk of mortality as well as morbidities. Despite potentially incomplete revascularization in this high-risk cohort, the off-pump strategy appeared to be beneficial in performing coronary artery bypass grafting.
