Corneal biomechanical properties in high myopia measured by dynamic scheimpflug imaging technology
Optometry and Vision Science Dec 10, 2017
He M, et al. - This study was designed in order to comparatively assess the corneal biomechanical properties in high-myopia individuals and emmetropia candidates. A considerably smaller radius curvature at the highest concavity (HCR), greater maximal deformation amplitude (MDA), faster velocity at the second applanation (A2V), and shorter length at the second applanation (A2L) was reported in eyes with high myopia compared to those with emmetropia. This data pointed out that the cornea in an eye with high myopia would become weaker and more deformable.
