JAMA Feb 04, 2020
Price KN, Thompson AM, Rizvi O et al. - Researchers sought to examine patterns of conventional and complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) therapies used by individuals with Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS). It is demonstrated that HS is a debilitating disease, which is clinically characterized by recurrent painful nodules, abscesses, and sinus tracts in intertriginous areas. The treatment is limited with lower efficacy for these individuals. The CAM is widely applied in other chronic dermatoses; nevertheless, there is a dearth of investigations into CAM in HS.
