Comparison of the follicular output rate after controlled ovarian stimulation with daily recombinant follicle-stimulating hormone vs corifollitropin alfa
European Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Reproductive Biology Nov 09, 2018
Griesinger G, et al. - Researchers compared corifollitropin alfa (CFA) and recombinant follicle-stimulating hormone (rFSH) during controlled ovarian stimulation (COS) with respect to the Follicular Output Rate (FORT). In this retrospective analysis, FORT was compared between women treated with CFA or rFSH from three clinical trials: ENGAGE (N = 1,476; ages 18-36, >60 kg), ENSURE (N = 395; ages 18-36, ≤60 kg), and PURSUE (N = 1,388; ages 35-42, ≥50 kg). In CFA-stimulated cycles, FORT was significantly higher and accurately prognosticated oocyte output. FORT was not identified to be associated with pregnancy likelihood.
