Comparison of testicular sperm aspiration to testicular sperm extraction in men with obstructive azoospermia
Fertility and Sterility Apr 12, 2019
Bastuba M, et al. - A comparison of the efficacy of sperm retrieval by a novel testicular sperm aspiration technique to standard testicular sperm extraction was performed. Researchers prospectively studied 30 patients with obstructive azoospermia who underwent the newly described testicular sperm aspiration technique and retrospectively identified 30 obstructive azoospermia patients who underwent standard testicular sperm extraction. Similar quality and quantity of sperm for fresh and/or frozen use were yielded in males with obstructive azoospermia using a novel percutaneous testicular sperm aspiration technique and standard open testicular sperm extraction.
