Comparison of oral voriconazole versus oral ketoconazole as an adjunct to topical natamycin in severe fungal keratitis: A randomized controlled trial
Cornea Nov 08, 2017
Sharma N, et al. - This study entails comparison between oral voriconazole (VCZ) and oral ketoconazole (KCZ) as an adjunct to topical natamycin in severe fungal keratitis. Findings demonstrated that although both of these options afforded similar duration and percentage of healing, oral VCZ vs oral KCZ attained a significantly better tear film concentration with a smaller scar size and better best spectacle-corrected visual acuity (BSCVA) and, hence, may be preferred over oral KCZ in severe fungal keratitis.
