Comparison of emergency department antihypertensive agents on cerebral blood flow

Tabor A, et al. - Authors here measured the effect of common ED antihypertensive agents on cerebral blood flow in ED patients with severely elevated blood pressure. In this study with modest BP reductions, common rapid-acting ED antihypertensive medications indicated comparable effects on cerebral blood flow. Findings suggested that cerebral blood flow might be more stable with hydralazine administration, but there seemed a necessity for further testing.
