Comparison of cumulative dissipated energy delivered by active-fluidic pressure control phacoemulsification system versus gravity-fluidics

International Ophthalmology Aug 25, 2017

Gonzalez–Salinas R, et al. – The cumulative dissipated energy (CDE), aspiration time and estimated aspiration fluid used amid phacoemulsification cataract surgery utilizing two phacoemulsification systems are compared in this study. According to the outcomes obtained, the active–fluidics Centurion ® phacoemulsification system achieved higher surgical efficiency than the gravity–fluidics Infiniti ® IP system for NII and NIII cataracts.
