Miyatake K, et al. - Authors compared the clinical outcome and rotator cuff integrity after arthroscopic rotator cuff repair (ARCR) in patients with and without diabetes mellitus. Clinical and structural outcomes demonstrated by diabetic patients who had good perioperative glycemic control were comparable to non-diabetic patients after ARCR. Researchers recommended the intensive perioperative glycemic control and patient education for preoperative uncontrolled diabetic patients.
