The Journal of Rheumatology Jun 07, 2019
Ramos AL, et al. - Through a self-reported questionnaire survey comprising joint counts, swollen joint count, functional status, effect of the disease, and well-being, the contributors intended to examine the association with patient-reported outcomes of persons with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) with the prevalence of co-morbidities to match controls. Cardiovascular, osteoarthritis, depression and osteoporosis were common risk factors. Persons with RA when compared to a matched population, presented with more prevalent and numerous co-morbidities. Insufficient rheumatological care and poorer patient-reported outcomes for patients with RA and multi-morbidity were noticed.
