Clinical outcomes of intravitreal bevacizumab versus photodynamic therapy with or without bevacizumab for myopic choroidal neovascularization: A 7-year follow-up study

Kang EC, et al. – The long–term visual outcomes of intravitreal bevacizumab (IVB) with those of photodynamic therapy (PDT) for myopic choroidal neovascularization more than a 7–year period is compared in this study. IVB resulted in superior long–term functional and anatomical outcomes compared with PDT. Specifically, PDT resulted in a greater best–corrected visual acuity (BCVA) decrease and chorioretinal atrophy (CRA) increase compared with IVB in eyes with preoperative diffuse CRA. However, the clinical outcomes were not different in eyes with preoperative tessellated fundi.
