Journal of Orthopaedic Surgery and Research Feb 23, 2019
Xiang S, et al. - Data were systematically estimated to assess the clinical outcomes including survival without revision, causes of revision, functional outcome, and incidence of loosening, of ceramic femoral components' use in total knee arthroplasty (TKA). Investigators observed similar consequences as well as survival rate among subjects with ceramic TKA implants as compared to conventional metallic counterparts. They supported the application of ceramic bearings in TKA, with limited implant breakage and aseptic loosening.
