Mager R, et al. - The authors conducted this trial to evaluate the clinical outcomes and costs of single-use flexible ureterorenoscopes as compared to the reusable flexible ureterorenoscopes in stone disease. Both, reusable and single-use flexible ureterorenoscopes were found to be equally clinically effective. Data indicated that partially overlapping ranges of costs for single-use and reusable scopes stressed on the significance of accurately knowing the expenses and caseload while negotiating purchase prices, repair prices and warranty conditions.
