This study emphasized hypertension and cardiovascular diseases as frequent comorbidities and peritonitis as the leading cause of hospitalization. As per observations, secondary hyperparathyroidism and anaemia were common. Therefore, necessitating frequent monitoring of parathyroid hormone (PTH), calcium, phosphorus, and haemoglobin.
