Clinical efficacy and safety of nano‐microneedle‐assisted phenylethyl resorcinol for the treatment of infraorbital dark circles
Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology Feb 24, 2021
Yu CQ, Xu XG, Chen HD, et al. - In the present study, the researchers tested the safety and effectiveness of nano‐microneedle‐assisted phenylethyl resorcinol (PR) for the treatment of infraorbital dark circles (DC). Twenty female candidates were randomized into two groups. Participants received topical PR gel under the left orbit once a day and topical plus nano‐microneedle‐assisted PR gel under the right orbit twice a week in the experimental group (group E). Participants were treated with gel without PR in the control group (group C). No serious adverse effects have been reported. The authors concluded that an effective and safe method for infraorbital DC could be PR combined with nano-microneedle.
