Clinical course of depression symptoms and predictors of enduring depression risk in women with polycystic ovary syndrome: Results of a longitudinal study
Fertility and Sterility Nov 22, 2018
Greenwood EA, et al. - Researchers performed a prospective cohort study of 163 women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) to characterize depression symptoms over time and to test if adverse metabolic parameters would associate with risk of enduring depression risk in these women. They noted a relatively stable prevalence of depression over time in this cohort of women. Depression risk was continuously reported in correlation with elevated body mass index (BMI). Outcomes seems to have implications for developing targeted intervention strategies to annihilate the prevalence of long-term depressive symptoms in women with PCOS.
