Radford SK, et al. - The authors aimed at assessing the clinical application of the new Hologic quantitative foetal fibronectin (qfFN) bedside test for the prediction of spontaneous preterm birth (sPTB) in patients with symptoms suggestive of spontaneous threatened preterm labour (sPTL). In the current work, women at risk of sPTB were more accurately identified with the qfFN testing in symptomatic patients and thus the testing helped more directed management.
