Clinical and radiologic outcomes following total shoulder arthroplasty using Arthrex Eclipse stemless humeral component with minimum 2 years' follow-up
Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery Aug 10, 2018
Gallacher S, et al. - Experts conducted an independent study of 100 consecutive Eclipse stemless prostheses used in total shoulder arthroplasty for osteoarthritis with a minimum 2-year follow-up (range, 2-6 years), focusing on the clinical and radiologic outcomes. Findings suggested excellent functional and radiographic outcomes of Eclipse total shoulder replacement. In the majority of cases, researchers accurately reproduced the native anatomy without implant loosening, at 2 to 6 years' follow-up. After 3 or 4 years' follow-up, there was no significant deterioration in Oxford Shoulder Score. Arm elevation and external rotation demonstrated statistically significant improvement.
