Kernéis S, et al. - This study aimed at describing the clinical and microbiological features associated with group B Streptococcus (GBS) bone and joint infections (BJIs). Researchers observed that GBS bone and joint infections predominantly occur in patients aged > 50 years and/or with comorbidities such as cancer and diabetes mellitus. They realized that CPS type distribution and Multi-locus sequence typing (MLST) were very similar to that of other adult GBS invasive infections.
