Circulating C3 and glucose metabolism abnormalities in patients with OSAHS

Lu X, et al. – A cross-sectional study was conducted to assess the impact of complement C3 on glucose metabolism abnormalities in patients with obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS). The data presented in this work showed a high level in C3 was associated with the occurrence of OSAHS and C3 alterations in OSAHS patients appear to contribute to disorders of glucose metabolism. The findings suggested that targeting OSAHS to improve glucose metabolism and immune function could be beneficial.
