Jämsä P, et al. – In this study, the prevalence of chronic kidney disease (CKD [eGFR < 60mL/min/1.73m2]) in different patients groups was reported. Experts here sought to find out whether CKD was missed by evaluation based on serum creatinine (SCr). Based on the data obtained, they recommended using estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) instead of SCr to detect CKD more accurately.
