Johansen IH, et al. – This paper ascertained if the reported prevalence of experienced threats, real acts of violence and debilitating fear of violence among Norwegian doctors increased over the last two decades. Threats and real acts of violence were experienced by a significant number of doctors, during their work–time career. No evidence, however, was yielded regarding the rise in workplace violence, over the last two decades. Yet, this issue remained a matter of concern and warranted investigations as a part of the doctors education and within work settings.
