Cell identity bookmarking through heterogeneous chromatin landscape maintenance during the cell cycle
Human Molecular Genetics Aug 26, 2017
Luo H, et al. – This research examined the cell identity bookmarking by means of heterogeneous chromatin landscape maintenance during the cell cycle. Though chromatin architecture underwent dynamic variations during cell cycle progression, DNA methylation along with Nucleosome–Secured Regions (NSRs) and Nucleosome–Depleted Regions (NDRs) were found to be stable epigenetic elements, needed for faithful transmission to the daughter cell. The intent was to accurately maintain cell identity during the cell cycle.
