Cataract surgery combined with micro-incision vitrectomy in patients with Behcet’s disease uveitis

Fan F, et al. - Experts presented the outcomes of a combined cataract extraction, intraocular lens (IOL) insertion and micro-incision vitrectomy (MIVS) procedure for the treatment of Behcet uveitis. For the removal of cataracts and pathologic vitreous in eyes with Behcet uveitis, a procedure that combined phacoemulsification, IOL implantation and MIVS was seen to be a feasible technique. The vision can be restored with this approach without obvious complications.
