Can we use the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio, platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio, and mean platelet volume values for the diagnosis of anterior uveitis in patients with Behcetâs disease?
Therapeutics and Clinical Risk Management Aug 25, 2017
Avci A, et al. – A comparative analysis was performed of the value of hematological parameters, neutrophil–to–lymphocyte ratio (NLR), platelet–to–lymphocyte ratio (PLR), and mean platelet volume (MPV), as indicators of anterior uveal segment involvement, in patients with BehcetÂs disease (BD). It was concluded that MPV, PLR, and NLR were valuable for the evaluation of anterior uveal segment involvement in patients with BD. The NLR, however, appeared to be better than the PLR and MPV for indicating anterior uveitis as a result of BD.
