Can hybrid hyaluronic acid represent a valid approach to treat rizoarthrosis?: A retrospective comparative study
BMC Musculoskeletal Disorders Nov 17, 2017
Tenti S, et al. - Researchers implemented this study to assess the efficacy and tolerability of intra-articular injections of a hybrid formulation of hyaluronic acid (HA) (Sinovial H-L) in comparison to triamcinolone in patients with trapeziometacarpal joint (TMJ) osteoarthritis (OA). Findings indicated that, with a rapid and persistent effect, the hybrid formulation of HA, compared with triamcinolone, may be more effective in relieving pain and improving joint function in patients with TMJ OA and hence, represents a valid alternative to steroid-based management of the disease.
