Guo Q, et al. - A Mendelian randomization analysis was performed to examine a possible causal role of body mass index (BMI) in survival from breast cancer. The physicians recommended a causal effect of increased BMI on reduced breast cancer survival for estrogen receptor (ER)-positive breast cancer. For ER-negative breast cancer cases, they found no evidence of a causal effect of higher BMI on survival.
