Sarens IL, et al. - The target of this paper was to present the baseline and preliminary follow-up results, in a 5-year longitudinal study of Blau syndrome. The data revealed that Blau uveitis was characterized by progressive panuveitis with multifocal choroiditis. It led to severe ocular morbidity regardless of the continuous systemic and local immunomodulatory therapy. A need arose for close ophthalmologic surveillance and an exploration of more effective therapies, as underscored via the frequency and severity of Blau uveitis.
