Kocovski L, et al. – This study explored the link between waist–hip ratio with sudden cardiac death (SCD) and severe coronary atherosclerosis (SCA). The data indicated that the waist–hip ratio served as a surrogate marker of central obesity and increased risk of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. It did not exhibit a statistically prominent correlation with either SCD or SCA in postmortem cases.
