Association of serum specific IgE levels with asthma in autumn pollen-induced allergic rhinitis: A retrospective analysis
Journal of Asthma Jan 24, 2019
Cui L, et al. - In this retrospective analysis, investigators examined 1096 subjects to explore the relationship of serum specific IgE (sIgE) levels to Humulus and/or Artemisia pollen with the onset of asthma in candidates with autumn pollen-induced allergic rhinitis. They observed an increase in the risk of developing asthma with the levels of sIgE to both types of pollens after adjusting for sex, age at onset of allergic rhinitis, and parental asthma. They also noticed coexistence of autumn pollen-induced allergic rhinitis with seasonal asthma.
