Association of serum CXCL12 levels with arthropathy in patients with systemic sclerosis
International Journal of Rheumatic Diseases Feb 05, 2021
Ikawa T, Miyagawa T, Fukui Y, et al. - In this study, the clinical relationship of serum CXCL12 levels was tested in patients with systemic sclerosis (SSc) to evaluate the potential contribution of CXCL12 to SSc development. Researchers performed a cross‐sectional analysis including a total of 68 patients with SSc and 20 healthy controls recruited in a single center over 9 years. An enzyme‐linked immunosorbent assay was applied to evaluate serum CXCL12 levels. The results demonstrated that the increased serum CXCL12 levels may be related to the development of SSc arthropathy.
