Association of MBL2 gene polymorphisms and systemic lupus erythematosus susceptibility: A meta‐analysis
International Journal of Rheumatic Diseases Feb 05, 2021
Yuan ZC, Xu WD, Lan YY, et al. - This study was undertaken to investigate if MBL2 A\B, A\C, A\D, A\O, L\H, and Y\X polymorphisms affected SLE susceptibility. Researchers conducted a meta‐analysis on 20 studies, containing allelic contrast, additive, dominant and recessive models. They calculated the odds ratio (OR) to reflect the effect of the relationship. For this analysis, they recruited a total of 64 pooled comparisons, including 7,194 SLE patients and 7401 healthy controls. This study’s findings imply that A\B and A\O polymorphisms were correlated with SLE susceptibility, and the allele H may be a protective factor in SLE.
