Lee YH, et al. - The intent of the researchers was to contemplate the role of circulating blood adipokine levels in the pathogenesis of Behcet's disease (BD). Substantially higher circulating resistin, leptin and adiponectin levels and lower visfatin levels were disclosed among patients with BD when compared to healthy controls (HCs). This data pointed out the possibility of adipokines playing a vital role in BD pathogenesis.
