Association of asymptomatic Chlamydia trachomatis infection with male infertility and the effect of antibiotic therapy in improvement of semen quality in infected infertile men

Andrologia Apr 10, 2018

Ahmadi MH, et al. - Experts evaluated the role of asymptomatic infections caused by Chlamydia trachomatis in male infertility and the effectiveness of antibiotics in the treatment of this condition. In the infertile men compared with the fertile ones, the frequency of C. trachomatis was notably higher, thereby suggesting an association of the asymptomatic infection caused by C. trachomatis with male infertility. Authors found that the semen quality could be improved by the antibiotic therapy and could fairly treat male infertility.
