Association between two common transitions of H2BFWT gene and male infertility: A case–control, meta, and structural analysis
Journal of Andrology | Feb 23, 2018
Teimouri M, et al. - The relationship between -9C>T and 368A>G transitions of H2BFWT gene and male infertility was evaluated by the experts in this meta-analysis. Significant relationships between -9C>T, 368A>G, and male infertility in overall and stratified analyses were noted. Furthermore, through structural analysis, it was noted that the protein structure could be affected by 368A>G, whereas -9C>T could affect the binding nucleotide in the promoter region. Results thereby suggested that two aforementioned mentioned polymorphisms were associated with increased risk of male infertility.
