Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism Mar 06, 2019
Zheng D, et al. - Among 20,108 insulin-treated patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, researchers examined the correlation between elevated triglyceride levels and inadequate glycemic control. These subjects were from the 2013 China National HbA1c Surveillance System study carried out in Mainland China. Findings suggested a strong association of elevated triglyceride levels with inadequate glycemic control. Thus, in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, suppressing triglyceride levels may achieve more optimal glycemic control.
